Welcome to  Stafford Preparatory School

At Stafford Prep we cater for children from five to eleven years of age. Most of our pupils go on to join Stafford Grammar at the end of Year 6, but we also prepare children for entry to other independent and maintained senior schools.

Our philosophy at SPS is quite straightforward. If children enjoy coming to school and have a wide range of activities to look forward to, then we will get the best out of them in and out of the classroom. Stafford Preparatory School challenges all its pupils to reach their potential in their academic work, in sport, in music and in a host of other curricular and extra curricular activities. We also place a strong emphasis on high standards of behaviour and care for others.

In September, 2012 we welcomed children of Year 1 & Year 2 age for the first time. They are taught in an attractive and well resourced two classroom unit, with its own adventure playground.
