Food & Drink

The children enjoy a freshly prepared lunch in the Stafford Grammar School canteen each school day. There is a choice of two hot meals (one a vegetarian option) or a filled roll. For dessert there is a traditional pudding, fruit or yoghurt. The weekly menu is available in advance, both on the school notice board and here on the website.

The cost of the school lunch (as well as afternoon squash and biscuits) is included in the school fees.

At morning break we encourage children to bring in an item of fruit, and those pupils staying after school for extra curricular clubs or homework can have a snack. Freshly filtered cold water is available throughout the day and each child is expe cted to have their own water bottle.

Play Times

The children have three break times each day: fifteen minutes mid morning, thirty minutes after lunch and twenty minutes in the afternoon. There is a large selection of play equipment available, both sporting and recreational. When the weather is dry, children have access to extensive grassland where they can build dens and play outdoor games.
