School Disco Gets Children Dancing!

Nearly 100 pupils and friends turned up in their brightest and best party outfits for the SPS School Council Autumn Disco. The 6th Form Common Room was transformed into a junior nightclub and it wasn't long before everyone was dancing to the music. And what music. This year, for the very first time, Year 5 pupil, Thomas Murray brought along his own one man disco show, complete with flashing lights, powerful speakers and a choice of music that appealed to the youngest Y3 bopper and the oldest Staff Room 'groover' (Mr O'D - perhaps not!) It wasn't long before Miss M was leading the children in 'the conga' and 'the macarena' to name but two.

A willing band of parent volunteers sold glow sticks and sweets as well as dispensing much needed squash and water to the dancers.

The 90 minute show passed far too quickly for many, a sure sign of just how good the music was. As for DJ Thomas - he's already been booked for a repeat performance in twelve months time!
