SUMMER TERM 2017
NEWSLETTER NO 373
29 June 2017
The last week has witnessed a flurry of activity with sports morning, a class outing, Choral Day, the platinum badge winners trip, the leavers’ barbecue (this afternoon) and last, but certainly not least, the final of ‘SPS Has Got Talent’.
As well as saying good bye to the Year 6 pupils and two children in Year 4, we are also very sad to be saying farewell to Mrs Ali, who is moving back ‘home’ to Essex with her family. She has been a wonderful member of staff and we shall really miss her.
Please find attached the SPS school dates for 2017/18. The new academic year commences on Monday, 4th September.
End of Term – Friday, June 30th

Form Arrangements 2017/2018
The children in Year 4 will be told tomorrow morning which of the two teaching groups they will be in for Year 5 from September. (Published form lists have been delayed as there are still a few potential new children to add in.)
The Uniform Shop will be open for exchanges only on Thursday 31st August and Friday 1st September from 9am – 1pm. The Uniform Shop will then be open as usual every Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm - 5pm. If you have any problems or queries you can contact the uniform shop via e-mail on email@example.com
Rotary Photographer Competition
On Tuesday evening, the District Final was held for the Rotary Young Photographer competition. First place was awarded to Laura Adams in the Primary School Black & White section with her picture of Jambo Jnr.
Some of you may be aware of a new (automatically installed) feature by Snapchat which allows your child's phone to be tracked using GPS. If you do not wish your child to be tracked you must 'ghost' them. Please read the following police warning which appeared in The Telegraph last week.
Have a wonderful summer and on behalf of all the staff, a big thank you for your cards, gifts and good wishes at the end of term.
I will look forward to seeing the Holiday Club children on Monday morning! For the rest of you have a fantastic summer.
